A Bibliometric Analysis in the Field of Pediatric Anesthesia and Turkey’s Contribution to Research

Objective: Bibliometric analysis can be used to assess the contributions of scholars, institutions, countries by examining materials published in a certain discipline. The objective this study is make bibliometric field pediatric anesthesia and examine Turkey’s contribution research field. Methods: I search engine Web Science (WoS), included all types (original articles, reviews, letters, editorials, etc.) analysis. scanned Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) Emerging Sources (ESCI) as they were most relevant indexes for my study. Statistical analyses performed using SPSS 22. binomial test comparison between Turkey other terms output, academic performance. Results: Pediatric Anesthesia only journal that positions itself WoS categories both “pediatrics” “anesthesia”. A total 5,791 citations found particular which 227 from Turkey. In addition journal, 2,096 433 different sources. Turkish authors have made 61 these journals. Hacettepe University, Istanbul Baskent University are predominant institutions accounting 80 materials. Conclusion: findings not showed but also revealed areas improvement their future research. list journals publish articles area anesthesia.
